Past Research Activities

Employment :

  • 2005.10 - 2009.02: Nissan Motor Corp., Mobility Research Laboratory (Japan). I worked basicaly on wireless sensor network, driver behavior recognition, and autonomous vehicle control. It resulted in 3 patents. I worked on embedded C (H8 micro-controller), Visual Studio, Scilab, Matlab.
  • July and August 2000: French National Institute for Healthcare And Medical Research (INSERM) in Lyon, France. I developed the prototype for cardiologist's workstation, based on "HANS" (Hypermedia Adaptive Navidation System) approach. I implemented Object oriented development process, JAVA (JDBC, XML, applet...) and Internet (XML, XSL)programming .

Internships :

  • 5 months at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone corporation (NTT) R&D center at Musashino city (Tokyo). I specified, designed, developed a client and application software for context-aware multimedia telecommunication services (part of the DANSE project). Object oriented development process and JAVA implementation.
  • 3 months at Ascom Monetel S.A. Guilherand-Granges, in summer 1998, as analyst programmer in informatics. I work in specifications and development of tools in the C language and the UNIX shell, on a real time UNIX system (LYNX OS).
  • 1 month at KROHNE S.A. Romans, in July 1996 as a worker.

Temporary jobs:

  • 2 months in 1997 at KROHNE S.A. Romans firm as a worker.
  • 2 months in 1995 in a hotel-restaurant, as a polyvalent employee.

Language experience :

  • Japanese: Fluent speaking, listening, reading.
    • Living in Japan since October 2000.
    • Ph.D. Thesis and 3 patents written in Japanese.
    • Japanese/English translation part-time job for Nature Interface magazine.
  • English: Fluent. TOEIC 940 points (2005.09).
  • Spanish: Good level. Studied for 5 years. 1 week trip in 1998 and in 1990, and 2 weeks in 1991.
